2055, the world awoke from a digital nightmare. Liberal democracy, once the DNA of the Western world, lay in ruins, it survived only on the 2nd stage. Social media, once platforms for exchange, had become weapons of disinformation. Russia, China, Iran and North Korea had manipulated not only opinions, but realities — even history itself.
2045 marked the peak, as AI-generated deepfakes dominated the yellow press news. The psychology of mass manipulation deliberately exploited cognitive biases to sow distrust. People lost confidence in institutions; truth became a matter of opinion.
2040 saw massive blackout waves, organized by AI-driven troll factories, paralyze democracies.
2035, social media bots spread conspiracy narratives at the speed of light. Everyone was trapped in their own algorithmically generated bubble. Democracy suffocated on its own freedom.
2030: Deep fakes perfected, outrage used as a weapon of mass influence.
2025: The warning signs were ignored. Experts warned of the fragmentation of society through targeted disinformation. But politics acted too slowly. The seeds of division had been sown. Since 2025, it has been up to us — through social cohesion, dialogue, and regulation — to continue the story of freedom.
2020: The COVID-19 pandemic opened the floodgates for information manipulation and the hybrid war against Western liberal states.
